WHO, WHAT, WHY?

OUR STORY - A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

In 7 years, Seychellois will be the face of tourism in Seychelles. This is the calling of the founding members of PEG, just as it is, the resounding affirmative message of every Seychellois.  


For more the 40 years we have waited, 2 generations have passed, and still the promise of tourism has not been fulfilled. Where is the career in tourism? More employment for the Seychellois in tourism. Where?  Higher standard of living; for who?  In a country where the Per capita income was until 2020, US$26k, it is shocking that 40% of the 100,000 population of Seychelles live in poverty. This, even while we were breaking records in tourism arrivals to the Seychelles year after year.   


This is the call to action.  PEG is saying;  


• To every Seychellois, get out of your own way


• To the Seychelles Tourism industry, make way for the Seychellois


• To our Tourism educators and trainers, grow the human products fit for the industry. 


• To the Seychelles Government, believe in our unique and authentic Seychellois people, culture, heritage, and hospitality for it is truly "unique by a 1000 miles". 


• To our guests and visitors from far and near, come, seek and demand the Seychelles experience through interaction with the Seychellois people and their Joie De Vivre.  It is vibrant, it is rich, and you will discover that you can never have enough of the Seychellois hospitality.


• And to everyone who makes us feel like foreigners in our own land; we say "how can we sing a Love Ballad in a strange land".  


People Experience Growth is here to promote the Seychellois transformation and to grow true Seychellois experience creators.

About Us

Kenneth Nalletamby

My success story is about the multitude of people who, by the grace of God, having interacted with me felt touched by me enough to have grown. Always for me, it has been about the person, first and foremost.  Our little country needs its people to step up. Our tourism industry needs to claim its Seychellois authenticity, “joie de vivre, hospitality and experience.  


When I look to the sun of PEG it spells “People Experience Growth”. That is what I am about, growing people, transforming people, and being there for the people.  


My commitment is to create experience creators and leaders. In 5 years, 2000 more young Seychellois will feel at home in our Seychelles Tourism industry because of PEG. In 7 years, the Seychelles Tourism industry will feel uniquely Seychellois.  


Out of PEG's 7 key objectives,  I will personally champion 2 of these objectives over the next 3 years:

  • To mobilize resources, represent and establish opportunities to create growth for the Seychellois in the Tourism Industry.


  • To ensure that workers have a voice and are represented for effective functioning not only for labour markets but also of the overall governance structure of the country.

Vesna Gertrude


  • A passionate and dedicated customer service professional.
  • With 15 years of industry experience from front office agent to flight attendant and flight safety standards officer, including 6 years as a civil servant.
  • Forte: Delivering on the expectations of business goals whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service focus.


Over the coming years, I will personally champion the following PEG Objective:- 


To transform the Seychellois tourism force into experience creators.


Marise Mancienne


  

  • My dream with PEG is to teach our Seychellois people to dream, to dream the impossible DREAM  
  • For 25 years of my life, I have dedicated myself to learning, growing in experience and to the transformation of young Seychellois professionals. What I have noticed in the process is that many are not driven, are not passionate and do not believe.
  • PEG is the brainchild of what I have come to understand is lacking in our society and globally; the noticing, nurturing, believing in our youth, and the presence for them.
  • I built PEG, because I know I can make a difference and I am committed to make that difference. Through PEG I will remove people out of poverty, add value to our youth and young adults, in such a way that they are sought after and retained.

About Us

Julie Carobert

  • A Front office and service customer care professional with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • With 18 years of hospitality and tourism industry experience, I have amassed knowledge in the field of my studies, Front Office.  I have shared the skills and knowledge to staff and students alike. I have a passion for building and developing young talent.
  • Forte: Coaching others, a firm believer in the customer comes first with a service mindset and aptitude.
  • At PEG, we will provide great opportunities for all Seychellois and greatly contribute to their transformation.
  • One of my main goals at PEG will be to champion the following key objective:


"To raise funds and receive contributions where appropriate to finance the work of the Association"



Terry Lablache

  • A Sales Leader, hygiene expert, and Owner of HMC (Pty) Ltd
  • With 30 years of industry experience with a proven track record in hospitality and general hygiene operations
  • Forte: Sales and Sales Management / Building relationships / Motivational coach / Trainer / Developing others
  • Over the coming years, as a PEG committee member, I will personally champion the following key objective; 


"To support, facilitate and influence the development of human capital in the tourism and hospitality sector"

 


Elfrade Lascagne

  • A talented culinary professional.
  • Forte: Creating flavourful magic for my patrons
  • With a history in commercial catering and hospitality 

Gema Rosalie

  • A seasoned Casino expert & professional with 27 years in the business
  • 15 years as a croupier with 8 years managing and coaching others.
  • Forte: Gaming leadership, team building and customer service skills

Tania Louise


  • A customer care and front office professional.
  • Owner of Peachy Cleaning Agency
  • Care, Support and delivering results is what matters most to me in my area of expertise.
